Real World Skills
You learn a lot of valuable things in school, but are you really being set up for success in the world of work and careers? This course introduces students to invaluable skills that will enable them to get a headstart on their professional lives. Modeled after similar courses for adults entering the workforce, but designed specifically for high schoolers and middle schoolers.
Program Dates:
Session I: June 15-July 15
Session II: July 15-August 15
- 6 Zoom sessions (live or recorded - your choice!)
- 4 Zoom sessions (live or recorded - your choice!)
- Weekly Office Hours with Ratio 21 instructors (optional)
- Optional research project for Honors track students
- Virtual Slack community where you can interact with other students and Ratio 21 staff
The Ratio 21 Difference
Each week, students will meet with expert mentors who will provide real world mentorship on topics such as leadership, communication, and collaboration.
Note: All sessions will be recorded and can be watched asynchronously.
Students can attend optional weekly office hours to ask questions and work with Ratio 21's team of instructors and experts.
You’ll be invited to a Slack chatroom where you can interact with other students and the Ratio 21 team. This will be the fastest way for students to get their questions answered and receive feedback.
Technology enables flexibility. We offer day and night programming, as well as recorded sessions, to accommodate busy schedules and students from around the world.
