enterpreneurship program
Part 1: What’s a startup and how does it work?
  • Startups are how great things come to life. Pretty much everything around you was probably created by an entrepreneur.
  • In this opening session, you will hear about how some of the world’s greatest companies (e.g., Apple, TikTok, Netflix, or others) were born.
  • You will learn about the original ideas behind these companies, and the struggles they faced along the way to becoming household names.
Part 2: How do you invent something?
  • Thinking of and developing new products are core to the startup journey.
  • In this session, you will hear from an experienced entrepreneur or product developer to better understand how a physical or virtual product is created.
  • How do you come up with and test ideas? How do you go from idea to reality, and what are some common pitfalls or challenges companies face?
Part 3: Is this the next big thing?
  • We know an inventor who has a zany new idea for a company. (We’re keeping the inventor and the idea under wraps for now).
  • We’ll ask them to come in and present their idea to you and explain why they think it’s the next big thing.
Part 4: What happens next?
  • Now that you have the background on startups and what makes a good idea, you'll have a chance to come up with a plan for how to take the next step in creating your own business.

What People Are Saying

I loved learning about the actual inventions people created. Anton’s inventions were really cool and I was super interested in them. I liked Anton’s point on how an idea should be a toy, not a game because you need other people to help you fully flesh out an idea.
