In this special weekend bootcamp, you will work with acclaimed serial entrepreneur Amol Sarva (and various visiting speakers) to better understand what it means to create your own business. During the 3.5 hour program, you will hear inside stories of how famous brands (Apple, Netflix, TikTok, or others) were created, and you will hear from inventors and creators about how they built products and companies. You will also have the chance to talk to an entrepreneur about their new business plan, and to give feedback.
Amol Sarva teaches entrepreneurship at Columbia University and has cofounded startups including Virgin Mobile USA, Peek, Halo Neuroscience, Knotel, and Popular Change. He studied cognitive science for his Ph.D. at Stanford with an undergraduate degree from Columbia. He is a backer, advisor, and mentor at 50+ companies
I loved learning about the actual inventions people created. Anton’s inventions were really cool and I was super interested in them. I liked Anton’s point on how an idea should be a toy, not a game because you need other people to help you fully flesh out an idea.
